Big Hookz is a multi-talented individual who wears many hats in the music industry. As an artist, producer, and entrepreneur, he stands out among global artists for his unique skills and achievements. While currently based in the metropolitan area, known as the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia), Big Hookz originally hails from Cameroon and later moved to Hamburg, Germany.

It was in Hamburg where he kick-started a remarkable movement with his own record label called StrTeam Ent. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Big Hookz takes on the roles of manager and executive producer. He currently manages a talented lineup of artists signed under his label, StrTeam Ent/UMG (United Master). His latest single, “Right With You,” was released through his own label, Str8Team Entertainment, in collaboration with Spinnup, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.

This single is part of his upcoming album titled “Visionary (No Days Off),” which features a captivating mix of Afro-Caribbean and R&B elements.

God’s the greatest.” This quote reflects his belief in pursuing dreams and visions, and he encourages others to do the same.

Our Approach

TMMA had the pleasure of assisting the talented afrobeat artist, Big Hookz. With a comprehensive approach, we created a custom campaign to maximize his exposure and reach . Our strategy encompassed Spotify promotion through ads, playlisting, and press releases. Through Spotify Ads Studio, we targeted audiences interested in similar artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Drake, Tems, Gucci Mane, Anuel AA, Tiwa Savage, and Chris Brown. This campaign resulted in an impressive 10,000+ targeted streams within a month, effectively introducing Big Hookz’s music to a wide audience. Additionally, we ran a successful TikTok influencer promotion for his release “My Own.” We secured the support of a prominent TikToker within the genre, boasting over 580,000 followers. Our goal was to reach at least 300,000 followers, and we exceeded expectations. Furthermore, we secured genre-specific playlist placements for the same song, resulting in over 16,000 streams from playlisting alone. In our efforts to generate buzz, we secured press coverage for Big Hookz and his song. He was featured on reputable platforms like Raptology, AllRapNews, and Rap Castle, among others. We are proud to have played a role in elevating Big Hookz’s career and look forward to further success together.
